Exploring the Galaxy with a real telescope

Cameron and Dad were finally able to use some of their "online" telescope time. This allows you to use one of 3 observatories in the world. These photos were all taken from the Canary Islands. Cameron's mind was racing when we finished up after a very late bedtime. However, the pictures speak for themselves and were how they looked as of 3-20/2010.

More Things From Third Grade

"If 99 times 99 is 9801, then 9.9 times 9.9 is 98 and one one-hundredth."

This from the kid who asked to take a level to class to level his desk; he's tired of his pencil rolling away. (We let him take one; we'll see what his teacher says. lol)

Today, he got in a little bit of trouble because they had a lesson on symmetry, and he refused to stop working on his project when it was time to move on.

A Perfect Lesson

Cameron just got done teaching me that a "perfect number is a number that is equal to the sum of its positive divisors." What 3rd grader knows that?! What grade schooler even understands that?!

Now, he and Michael are looking up different types of numbers on Wikipedia: perfect numbers, abundant numbers (sum of divisors is greater than two times the number), semi-perfect number (a positive integer that is equal to the sum of all or some of its proper divisors), super perfect number . . . and so on.

Procrastinator

How mad should you be when he is not ready for bed, and when you say, "Are you done with your [get ready for bed] checklist?" he jumps up and says, "Oh, I got carried away in my bible and forgot."

Turkey Cookbook

Cook a turkey like a pro in 4 simple steps

Before the turkey could be set on the table, it needed to be cooked. Here is how to cook one.

First, wash it off and add 3 tsp of salt and pepper. Also add 1 cup of love and hope.

Next, put it in the oven at 350˚F for half an hour, checking every 10 minutes. Also have stuffing too.

Last, cut the turkey into pieces about the size that the family would take for a serving and set it on the table.

So now the turkey is perfectly golden brown and ready to be eaten.

Whoa, Dude!

Having your eyes dilated really sucks.

Then again, it's kinda good to get to skip school because you can't see.
